    • She's 21 now and I still love her!

I bought her new, and over half her 95K mileage is long-distance. I've driven her all over the country, and she's quite comfortable actually. I read the manual first thing, and saw that I didn't need a tune-up until 100K ... I got it a couple of years ago just because she was getting old. She's 21 now, and in the last four years or so I've replaced all the ORIGINAL hoses and lines and such when the first one went bad, as we live on an island in the ocean ... and also the power steering pump, replaced the entire AC system with a "modern" one and had the heater core replaced at the same time while the shop had everything under the hood torn apart 'just because' (I plan to always drive her), the catalytic convertor and another part of the exhaust, and the brakes completely rebuilt. She and I are in the longest relationship that I've ever had, lol. I went to buy a Ranger, but the dealership was out and showed my mine ... drove off the lot for 11K total out-of-pocket for me after I had them add the bow cover and a stereo (the guy installing it came to me and asked me if I'd also like speakers, too) ... in Florida, all vehicles come with AC, but she also came with an enhanced transmission and a tow bumper with the most common hitch ball - she's a 4-cyl, which I've been told many times over the ensuing years that it's the best engine Isuzu dropped into these pick-ups and that the engines just run and run and run and run. I had the transmission rebuilt after a friend abused her severely when I was out of town and was told that some of the original parts used were too wimpy, so if any of you need your tranny rebuilt, make sure the person(s) or shop that does it knows this as I've asked over the years of this to mechanics and always had that assertion confirmed. She's dark green with a grey cloth interior. I love her.

This truck has treat me well. My grandfather bought this truck new and only put 28,000 miles on it when I bought it in 2006. Since the truck had hardly been driven there were some rotting issues with the vacuum hoses and I had to replace those. After that the clutch slave cylinder went bad which was inexpensive to replace but the transmission had to be removed to get to cylinder. Also the door seals leak when going over 50 mph and can be pretty annoying. Don't buy this truck if you want to cruise at 75-80mph on the highway, this is almost impossible with this truck. I have hauled a small single axle trailer with 2 dirtbikes on it and 1 in the back of the truck and it will pull okay, with a maximum constant speed of 65-70mph. Other than those two mechanical issues (from basically sitting in a parking lot for 10 years) I haven't had to many major/expensive issues. I am 6'3" and this truck is pretty small. I find it difficult to relax while driving. I have installed a CD-Receiver, Subwoofers, Infinity Speakers (door and dash), XM Satellite Radio, GPS, iPod USB Reader, and Remote Power Locks. All of these gadgets I have hidden the wires under the dash and the inside of the truck looks very streamline (at least for a small pick-up).

I love this truck. Very minor problems. Have owned since new. Will drive this truck until the doors fall off.
